iMistAway for Android Not Downloading
In the event where the iMistAway App cannot be downloaded from the Google Play Store, we offer an alternative method/workaround of downloading the app. This involves downloading the App APK from Dropbox and manually installing the app to the phone. The instructions for this process are found below.
1. Follow the listed Dropbox link below.
- If the page prompts you to open it in the Dropbox app, choose to remain in the browser instead.
- Additionally, you can choose to ignore signing up for a Dropbox account and continue as a guest.

2. Click the large “Download” button in the middle of the screen.
- You may get a message that says “Can’t load this file type. This file type is not supported here.” This message is safe to ignore and you should continue to download the app.
3. Install the newly downloaded APK.
- Navigate to the “My Files” App on your Android device and select the newly downloaded APK.
- Note that it should be opened within the “My Files” app specifically and not the Dropbox app or browser window.
4. Allow Download Permissions.
- You will get a message warning you of apps downloaded from unknown sources with the options “Cancel” or “Settings”
- Click “Settings” and use the radio slider to grant permissions to the app.
- If prompted to send the file/app to Google for a security scan, proceed to do so.
5. Launch iMistAway and Update.
- After downloading the app and launching it for the first time, you will be prompted to update the app. Please do so.
6. Enjoy the features and functionality of the iMistAway App.
- Now that the app is installed and updated, you should be able to find the iMistAway app icon on you home screen/app library.
- All features and functionality will now be available to you upon logging in to your iMistAway account using your username and set password.
